About Camp Rocky

The goal of Camp Rocky is to provide it's students with a solid natural resource education so they can use these skills to serve their community as a leader in resource stewardship. Overall Program 

Objectives: 

  • Students will have hands-on experience and gain knowledge about one of four disciplines;soil and water conservation, rangeland science, forest management and fish and wildlife management 

  • Students will learn and practice natural resource field measurement techniques and develop interdisciplinary management alternative for key natural resource issues

  • Students will learn this importance of working in cooperative teams to solve natural resource management concerns through the development of a management plan

  • Students will develop and demonstrate communication and leadership skills for the chance of returning FREE to next year's camp as a member of the Junior Leader Staff. 

  • Student's will have a fun time learning and trying new experiences!
