Technology Resources Available to Members
CACD is working to make technology resources available to Conservation Districts across Colorado.
Email Accounts @cocds.org
Google Workspace (the corporate edition of Gmail/Google Drive) accounts are available at no cost. Accounts will be created using the @cocds.org domain ([email protected])
If you are coming from a personal-level product (Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo, etc.), we can assist you with the process of transferring existing mail and forwarding any new mail that may come in to your new account.
Google Workspace Features
CACD cannot see the contents of your inbox or files saved in Google Drive. Emails that are sent to you and flagged as potentially containing viruses or malicious links may be visible to CACD in a 'quarantine' status.

Google Workspace Features
- Enhanced security and filtering of email and protection from hacking using 2-Factor Authentication
- Google Drive storage: Back up computer files automatically or work in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Email Authentication (DMARC and DKIM) helps decrease the likelihood of your emails going to Spam when sending mass messages
- Email Groups: Create mailing lists for your board, landowners, or other stakeholders to easily send group emails right from your inbox. You can choose who has permission to send email to each group.
- Enhanced Google Calendar features like appointment booking, indicating working location across your team, and sharing your calendar with co-workers at your district.
- Microsoft365 Authentication using your same @cocds.org address: Allows you to easily join Teams Meetings and open Sharepoint or Onedrive links without the extra steps of being an 'Unknown User' without a Microsoft365 account.
- Additional features on Google Forms, allowing you more flexibility to send surveys, embed contact forms in your website, or collect orders for material sales.
